Implementing Gunshot Detection Algorithm on Digital Signal Processor
Hrabina, Martina
Aim of this paper is implementation of developed gunshot detection algorithm on TMS320C6713 digital signal processor. Used algorithm is based on 3 LPC coefficients, energy in 3 spectral bands and correlation against template. Analyzed acoustical signal is segmented into 23 ms frames. If a segment contains gunshot, it is signalized by flashing LED diode. This method results in 82% correct gunshot detection and approximately 3% false alarms averaged in various nongunshot sound categories.
Subscriber Line Interface Circuit Control
Havran, Josef ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a connection of the development kit for the subscriber line interface circuit Si3220 with the development kit for the digital signal processor DSP56858EVM and implement a test application, which will allow us to use the development kit as a small private branch exchange. The application allows us to operate up to ten telephone machines and it disposes of basic telephone exchange functions -- generating tones to the headphone, detecting the DTMF dialing, generating the ringing and the voice connection of the subscribers.
Application for Recognition of Human Eye Retina
Drozd, Radek ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The blood vessels layout in a human eye retina is unique for every person in the world, so it is one of important biometric characteristics. Processing of colour retina image may be a part of an intended biometric system. There is an algorithm for automatic blood vessels detection, optic disc and macula localisation, finding of bifurcation points and saving those as a biometric template presented in this bachelor's thesis. C++ programming language and OpenCV library were used for implementation. The application was tested on a set of colour retina images, taken by fundus camera. The final application is supposed to run on a digital signal processor, developed by Texas Instruments. The thesis gives the introduction into biometrics, signal processing and human eye anatomy.
Communication protocol implementation into signal processors
Digital Signal Processor based Baby Cry Detector
Sobotková, Šárka ; Rozman, Jiří (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis discusses the baby cry. Processing of literary research in dealing with children crying and processing of audio signals. Based on information gathered propose an algorithm for detecting child's cry, which was verified using Matlab programming environment. Based on the identified parameters of the input signals and the proposed algorithms was selected appropriate digital signal processor. The hardware device was realized to detect and initialize the child crying, and its functionality has been verified in the recorded sound recordings child crying.
Universal Tester of Tyco Fire panel
Vítek, Ladislav ; Kalina,, Emil (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This work is aimed on design of a device for testing of fire detectors and various components of fire detection system, communicating with the fire panel over a fire bus or a loop. The device generates voltages, supplying the detectors, as well as communicating over the bus generating communication waveforms and performing detection of responses measuring voltage and current on the connection. The loop signal is processed by the developed unit and data or result sent to a PC utilizing USB or RS232 connection. All the parts of the equipment are galvanically isolated to the loop circuit.
Digital equalizer with dynamic range compression
Šafer, Radim ; Kováč,, Michal (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to create a digital equalizer with dynamic range compression. The master's thesis is focused on the comparison of functions and parameters of individual digital processors which are given entirely for sound signals processing. It contains the detailed analysis of singular blocks used for signal processing in the circuit AD1953 and possibilities of control over programmable parametres of those blocks by a user. This thesis also contains a comparasion of the chosen A/D converters together with a description of the UDA1361TS circuit. A designed functional diagram of the final device is introduced as well. Thereafter possibilities of controling the individual blocks in the signal processor are mentioned. The final design of the digital equalizer is also introduced along with a description of software essential to a successful control over the processing of the signal in the AD1953 circuit. This thesis also describes a construction of the digital equalizer and involves results of the chosen measurements.
Leg prothesis
Bulva, Ondřej ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the current state of development of active lower limb prostheses and focuses mainly on own design of active prostheses. The introduction deals with the anatomy of lower limb and briefly describes the walk cycle. In other chapters are summarized amputation techniques in the lower limb, followed by a description of the allocation of prostheses according to the level of amputation, which were described in earlier chapters. The thesis also deals with the division of prostheses according to the patient's activity level and briefly describes the structural differences in these individual cases. Chapter describing the actual development in the field of active prostheses initiates part dealing with the detailed description of the part of the prosthesis. The following chapters deal with the design and implementation of a prototype of active transfemoral prosthesis. The penultimate chapter deals with the software description of all parts of the prosthesis. This chapter is followed by an evaluation of the achieved results.
The implemetation of identification algorithms in digital signal processor DSP56F8xxx
Januška, Jiří ; Václavek, Pavel (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis intends to describe some of identification methods applicable to the induction motor resulting in the profit of some of these parameters by means of mathematical analysis. Afterwards these methods are simulated in MATLAB/Simulink and in the final part algorithms of these methods are consequently implemented to the digital signal processor.
Active noise cancellation
Bulva, Ondřej ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Balogh, Jaroslav (advisor)
This project deals with problems of active noise cancellation. The first part focuses on the understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human hearing. Furthermore, the understanding of the basic principles of acoustics, distribution of sound, and his generating. The important part is introduction to the issue of noise in the environment. The second part is dedicated to device design. The aim of this work was to design and construct device for active noise cancellation. Designed and assembled were two versions of the device for active noise cancellation. The problems associated with achieving the perfect noise cancellation is analyzed at the end of the work in detail together with the results of active noise canceling each version of the device.
